Either keep the atmosphere that made the original great OR actually improve on the gameplay to bring it to modern day gaming for a new experiece. They did neither, and everything but the draw distance looks worse like storms or lighting. -
Nov 18, 2021Great job, Rockstar Games! Wonderful remaster through and through! I wish more companies were like You, so diligent with the IPs that made them who they are. Can't wait to see what you do with the inevitable GTA IV remaster, really excited to play it on my Apple watch. :)

Dec 7, 2021Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

Dec 7, 2021I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

Nov 29, 2021Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
