    Absolutely disgusting remaster. Cyberpunk looks like polished art compared to this trilogy. Full of bugs, terrible looking characters, bad graphic and performance. You can't buy legally classic editions of thoose game becouse of this cash grab. Shame on you Rockstar. San Andreas Definitive Edition is not worth to play even on gamepass. 0/10

    On its own this release doesn't deserve a zero. I'd say it's a little short of mediocre, but I've seen far worse in my time as a gamer. But there's no way I can forgive Take Two and Rockstar for the horrible way they've treated the community, for the fact that they've issued and are still issuing DMCAs to modders or for pulling the originals from online stores in order to steer people intoOn its own this release doesn't deserve a zero.     These are the worst versions of GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas. Textures are a mess, many looking inferior to the original PS2 games. Character models are laughable, all looking disfigured and lacking in detail. Rainfall looks terrible and ruins visibility when driving at night. The worst offense is Take Two Interactive removing the original digital versions of these gamesThese are the worst versions of GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas.     The same useless studio that destroyed GTA SA XBox360 are responsible for this crap. They butchered SA, completely ruined its atmosphere, weather effects and some how even removed graphics like grass and low lying fog, it is just embaresing. With the Trilogy it's like they plastered a layer of plastisine over everything and added a ton off bugs..     A total mess. The originals on their first platforms are better, the originals when modded on PC are fare superior then this. Seeing as Take 2 removed the originals, you can now just pirate them and the mods for free, without feeling any form of guilt, they are really easy to install. A modded San Andreas is still brilliant.

I know they are a company and money is the bottom line, but the fact they have milked GTA 5 the way they have and then release garbage like this without giving anything back to their fans/customers is beyond a joke now. Now it's playable again and I have to point out few annoying things. 1) When I want to load the game, I don't know which saved game to load, because there is even no time showing you    I spent $60 on this game and it disappeared from rockstar library after client update!     EDITED on 17/11/2021: Ok, so the game was unavailable for 48 hours. Now it's playable again and I have to point out few annoying things.

    1) When I want to load the game, I don't know which saved game to load, because there is even no time showing you when the game was saved!

    2) I have very powerful $4000+ gaming setup and I am having below 40 FPS when driving fast in 4K resolution (RX 6900 XT 16 GB + 16 GB DDR4 4000 MHz + i9-9900KS 5GHz all cores)!

    3) Audio, AI, physics are all unchanged from the original GTA series

    4) The only good thing about this definitive edition are modernized controls, so GTA Vice city is normally playable on modern computers. When I tried to play the original game, the controls were so bad that I decided to stop playing completely. That's why I give this game 1 point for improving this thing.     Graphics are good but maaan this game has so many character model glitches and season and weather effects are non existent except that rain effect it's just terrible and makes the game unplayable and actually makes me feel dizzy... Please stay away at least until they fix this game.. I've never felt this disappointed

This becomes a problem to review a game just based on the remaster itself, sure it has a few quality of life updates and the graphics are a huge improvement but that being said, still issues persist like insane rain that makes it harder to see anything going on but for the most part no real technical issues, the main issues are legacy issues from the original like punishing gameplay and exceptionally difficult and frustrating missions, everyone gave GTA3 glowing reviews and pass from these issues because back in the day, *they were indeed groundbreaking* but now, not so much.    … Expand

    A look at any screenshot should suffice to realize the mess Rockstar published here. But look a bit deeper and you'll realize just how broken this de-master really is. From new game-breaking bugs to typos to broken 3D models, missing effects, etc. The list goes on and on. Stay away.

    I didn't care much how the game play i was happy that they use a ne engine and rebuild it from 0. But now it's impossible to even start the game.

    There's mods that do better job than this "definitive" editions. Countless bugs, dependency on the launcher, they don't even care that you don't have access. Rockstar is following up Activision Blizzard approach and clearly not giving a single **** about their customers.
    Do not buy. Download earlier versions and use available mods, they're MUCH better than this.

    This release is just proof positive that Rockstar doesn't care about their fan-base. They just made sure to spend as little money as they possibly could in order to charge gamers another $60. Taking the old versions off the store is a second slap to the face, since they must have known the older versions are far superior to this release. Rockstar should feel ashamed.

    Huge dissapointment. I feel cheated how this game looks and because of missing songs. I played mostly VC, but also III and SA just to compare. All three are buggy. Models are terrible. Fan mods were better than this.
    Seriously dont buy it and donate 10% of the price for animal shelter.

    I paid $60 for a game two days ago that I still haven't been given. Thankfully the last two days have given me the opportunity to see that these ports are garbage. I've requested a refund based on the gameplay footage I've seen. You would think they would of taken more care to preserve the legacy of their three best releases.

    Bring back Rockstar circa 2004.

    Worst game and worst graphics in 2021. Playing on a RTX 3080Ti to run with this kind of worst graphics. Not a "Remake" game like Final Fantasy 7. They just simply edit the graphics from the original game then sell them out as "remastered" only. The game is not much different by comparing to the original game. Boring to play with these kind of worst graphics in year 2021.

How could you outsource is to a small mobile studio with tarnished reputation? To save a couple of bucks, but to get down to the CDPR level that head of T2 was making fun of a few month earlier?     Great job Rockstar. Falls just in line with the decadence of the whole gaming industry. But they did not stop at making a terrible remaster. They even put the original versions of the shelfs and targeted mod authors for the old versions to force us to play this garbabe. no thanks.

    This "definitive edition" is such a dumpster fire you are better off playing the original ports, BUT WAIT! Rockstar delisted the original ports (on top of suing modders that were fixing them) to capitalize on this cash grab, so if you didn't already own them you are out of legal options to play the pc versions of these games in any respectable manner. THANKS ROCKSTAR!!!

    Multiple corrupt saves (auto and manual) 20 hours in, meaning I've lost all progress. Graphics and character models are a joke.

    Horrible port. Rockstar really messed this one up. I can’t imagine how a PS2 game with a better skin could run so horribly. They didn’t even try and just wanted money. Do not buy and wait and see if they update it.

    Not a single f**k was given by Rockstar while this game was in development. Wardrum/GSG showed some laziest effort not even check how these games will work when it's done. AI models and textures upscale is terrible! Fonts are ugly, words have misprints, upscaled meshes have old skeletal animations which leads to dramatic bodies deformation in cutscenes and also in gameplay. No more gray misty gamma in gta 3, no more awesome sunrises and sunsets in Vice City, no more yellow haze in San Andreas. Visual art style of these games just gone. Oh and draw distance now is set to 9999.9999 so you can see whole San Andreas from one point. But there's more! All three games have all their old bugs from PS2/PC releases, BUT they've added EVEN MORE NEW BUGS! Jesus Christ do even need to continue to explain why is this **** deserves no rating higher than zero? It's beyond all ratings, it's total mess! Rockstar WTF? Why? Our expectations were low but you dived much deeper below them and smashed the bottom. You have lost all my respect for you. GTA, RDR, Bully, The Warriors, Max Payne 3 - thanks for that and rest in peace now.… Expand

    They have made a mess with the textures. There are bugs everywhere. The servers are down. They have remove music, images, dialogue and have changed things to be "less sexual". Are you kidding me? IT'S GTA!

    For my part I return the game. I will never fund or sponsor this kind of behavior or censorship. I don't want it even for free.

    Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
