    Don't buy this.

    This game is sold for 60$. For a REMASTER and a really BAD remaster it isn't worth it. The character models look awful, half of them look like they just survived cancer, other like they are on some drugs or others straight up looking like mutants from Chernobyl. The OG character models had more details than in this darn scam. No wonder they didn't show any release. Most    Don't buy this.

    Couldn't even play it in the first 24 hours.. the game wouldn't launch because of the rockstar launcher services were offline, turns out they accidentally 'deleted the files' lmao. What a joke, don't buy this sh*t.

    The OG trilogy is my all time favorite games. I was hyped from the remaster (not liked the characters models, but the rest looked good) and I pre-ordered the game for the PC. Couple of hours after launch, Rockstar Games pulled the Trilogy from the launcher and even people who already downloaded the game can't play it. This is bad...

    I got to play for 2 hours before Rockstar took it away from me. They have had almost no communication with the fans and we're all in the dark with what is happening and when we could play the games again. At this point I just want a refund.

    Games are so bad, I often got UE4 engine crash, you can't do a lot of things that you could have done in classic games, rain implementation is blinding and so awful, AI is absolutely ruined, when I bought Trilogy I couldn't even play games offline after some time. It's the worst release of whole game industry so far.

    There are holes in the geometry, moved poles with their hitboxes still in their original place. Sometimes there's no collision at all. They have simplified and completely destroyed some of the original features, such as sprinting and super sprinting, the gym (you can lift any weight, no matter how weak you are, this is also an old bug from the mobile port of San Andreas that Grove Street Games (previously Wardrum Studios) made.

    There is completely broken game logic, such as cars instantly exploding after 2 seconds, cars that will kill you instantly after a mission or even kill your allies that are required for a mission, the luck stat being broken (hence the huge amount of exploding planes that just randomly kamikaze themselves), invisible cars that will ram into you at top speed and kill you, broken vehicle cameras,

    Lowest effort BS that's come out in this decade from a AAA studio.
    Also, they are DMCA'ing mods, save files, and ports, when a game company does that it usually leads to their fall, I hope that this is where we're heading, I'd rather have no new Rockstar games than whatever the heck is this.

    I can not believe Rockstar games used to be my favourite game company. This trilogy is so far away from my childhood games. Especially the models. Whatever they do, there will always be some fanboys defending this **** so it is best to leave it short.

Даже не на хайпе хочу занизить оценку, я сознательно больше нуля не могу поставить этому, потому что они просто убили не только то, за что я любил оригинальную ГТА, они убили то, за что я любил старые игры в принципе!!! Я даже не хочу писать про то, как выглядят персонажи, и что вся игра стала мультяшной, и что теперь я ее просто не могуЯ давно не был так разочарован... Это просто кошмар. Даже не на хайпе хочу занизить оценку, я сознательно больше нуля не могу поставить этому, потому что они просто убили не только то, за что я любил оригинальную ГТА, они убили то, за что я любил старые игры в принципе!!! Я даже не хочу писать про то, как выглядят персонажи, и что вся игра стала мультяшной, и что теперь я ее просто не могу воспринимать серьезно, я бы много мог про это написать, но хочу затронуть другую, не менее важную тему - удаление оригинальных текстур витрин и замена их на проклятую "3d" текстуру за стеклом. Это выглядит ужасно, но хуже всего это просто стирает все детали, которыми наполнили мир оригинальные разработчики. Я очень люблю фото текстуры, и мне очень жаль, что с ними так обходятся, даже в Mafia Definitive Edition несмотря на отличную детализацию, все витрины заменены на пустые стекла, хотя в оригинале было куча деталей, хоть и запечатленных в текстуры, но ты смотрел на эти текстуры и видел в них кучу деталей, интерьер, стеллажи с конкретными товарами, вывески, наклейки, все передавали через фототекстуры даже в те давние времена. Но сейчас вместо них витрины просто заменяются стеклом, за которым максимум поставят пару предметов или убогую замыленную 3d текстуру, в которой нет никаких деталей, но из-за блестящей поверхности стекла выглядит лучше, чем фототекстура. Я считаю это огромным минусом текущих технологий, из-за чего все дома кажутся одинаковыми. В оригинальной же трилогии GTA создали почти каждое здание индивидуальным за счет ранообразных фототекстур и вывесок, каждое здание представляло собой уникальный интерьер, но в этом недоремейке все стерли начисто, просто заменив фототекстуры на убогое стекло, уничтожив все детали и индивидуальность зданий. Лучше бы они просто подправили освещение, эффекты и дальность прорисовки, чем портили все остальное. Это худшие впечатления, что я получил, играя в игры, так испортить хорошие игры надо постараться.… Expand

    que cojones es esto? no se puede jugar en pc desde el cliente de rockstar, no se puede terminar la historia de vice city por un bug y gran parte de los 3 juegos se ha hecho por programas que automáticamente te cambian hasta el texto para ponerlo en el nuevo motor grafico en vez de una persona escriba 4 putos carteles...

    Короче, всё что связано с самим движком - норм. Отражения, взрывы, частицы и т.д. Но это заслуга движка. То есть, при переносе текстур из старого движка в новый -    Это пздц...     Короче, всё что связано с самим движком - норм. Отражения, взрывы, частицы и т.д.
    Но это заслуга движка. То есть, при переносе текстур из старого движка в новый - Unreal Engine по умолчанию добавил все эти плюшки.
    Далее: всё, что зависело от авторов сего "шедевра" - всё сделано отвратительно. Лица - ужасные. Анимации - их не стали менять. Продвинутая система повреждений - отсутсвует. ГГ из GTA 3 и GTA Vice City не умеют плавать. Продвинутый Ragdoll - отсутствует (однако ж моддеры даже это сумели сделать для оригинальных частей).

    Это просто кошмар - текстуры зачастую проваливаются друг в друга, модели персонажей не подогнаны под другие модели (например, в SA, когда банда садиться в машину, с передних сидений будут торчать их ноги). Руль ни в одной из игр не двигается.

    Короче, это просто отвратительно. Знаете, что ещё они сохранили из оригинала? Баги. У меня игра в оригинале зависала в некоторых моментах в бильярде (типа скрипт не срабатывал и противник не делал ход). Играю в ремастер - опа, тоже самое!

    Хорошо, что мне не пришлось покупать сеё творение за 4к, хе-хе-хе)))    … Expand

    It does have some quality-of-life improvements which is why I’m not giving this a flat out zero.

    In recent years though Rockstar has shown it has changed, and not for the good. The increasing lack of imbalance and frustration shown in GTA Online today and alongside Red Dead Online’s severe lack of updates shown to me that maybe multiplayer games aren’t Rockstar’s strong suit, but after seeing Red Dead Redemption 2’s brilliant campaign; never would have I seen in my life that Rockstar **** up a single player game, a simple remaster at that, so ****ing badly.

    I’ll keep this short: It’s a remaster that looks good on paper and brings back good memories. But it’s programming, some design aspects and the overall launch, are a ****ing steaming pile of dog **** to behold.
    All three games in the trilogy are quite buggy which says something about Rockstar putting their trust in GroveStreet Studios (the people who programmed and quite literally just made these remasters). Not only the bugs but some the side character designs, despite the new and improved models, have the laziest texturing I have ever seen to the point where they look like they have plastic skin. You know just what I mean if you’ve seen that image of one of CJ’s girlfriends.

    It also doesn’t help that the other company that (for some bizarre reason) Rockstar gave power to help run their games, ****-Take2 Interactive, are cracking down on modders and threatening legal action (if modders don’t take down their mods) like never before and I don’t just mean the asshats that put up mod menus for gta online, I mean regular mods that people make for the campaigns of the GTA franchise, you know, single player mods that physically cannot impact others negatively because it’s not online? Yeah ****-Take2 don’t want that because the executives of that company love getting through every legal loophole to have their way against people even when those people practically aren’t doing anything wrong, those people that mod the single player campaigns out of their love and passion to improve it for not only themselves but others?
    Yeah, good luck wanting to improve your copy of the trilogy if that was your plan because you may have to dig deep for a simple mod that fixes a bug that Rockstar didn’t have the competence to fix themselves.

    This launch has only taught dedicated fans one thing and one thing only, that if a company like this expects their fans not to pirate their games, they were extremely stupid to even attempt to remaster this.    … Expand

    Seriously, there is so many issues with these games that people just overlooked because they were revolutionary for their times. In new or remastered games you at least expect some nice quality of life features.
    So the car upgrades are still useless because you're gonna lose your car before the mission.
    In some spots you can clearly see AI upscaled textures that look like impressionist paintings.

    Some of the improvements are not really improvements at all, when you buy new clothes in san andreas you get sort of a really bad preview of the item, like badly drawn shirts and shoes that don't show anything how the item actually looks. For example a green shoe is drawn like a white shoe.

    Not to mention the clipping of your clothes trough your character like chains and watches and hats.
    Just lots of bad things left over that was not fixed, certainly not a "definite" edition. More like lazy, lets use an AI from github that will upscale all the textures, draw a few of our own textures and thats it.

    Another "improvement" is glow around enemies, which is basically like some sort of hunter vision in other games, very ugly and immersion breaking.
    Some things got worse, the lifting minigame in the gym is pretty much broken and not a challenge at all.
    With the weakest CJ , you can lift the heaviest weights by just mashing e.

    Controls are bad and mouse support is pretty much non existent in the menus.
    This is a game where by default "T" key is cancel/go back operation in menus.
    What? I have a feeling the devs didn't play their game.

    I was playing on a rx480 and ryzen 3600 and the game ran at around 60fps at high. Not great for a game that looks like this. For example battlefield 4 I run at 144fps at high.

    Very disappointing, don't waste your money. I am giving 1/10 because now at least you can instantly restart a failed mission.    … Expand

    Give me back the times when devs loved developing their games instead of making **** like this.

    90% of the community mods that were made for the original GTAs are better than this. But cause Rockstar is realizing that modders do better work than their subpar **** they need to Sue them :D

    I Was enjoying playing Vice City, then Rockstar took the entire SINGLE player game offline and we can't access either of the 3 titles, because of a mistake THEY made and there is no automatic refund, just taken the games and ran, that was 47 (Fourty-Seven) hours ago, this is insane, just the worst.

It's what I'd expect from a 1st year game design student practicing modding in private. The scrap-work someone would produce that hadn't honed any of their skills or worse yet did but were simply to lazy to put in real work. The idea that RockStar saw the workBrazenly bad. Everything from the rain to the models to the sign texts is done in the fastest shortcut crappiest way imaginable. It's what I'd expect from a 1st year game design student practicing modding in private.     - bugged rain effect everywhere
    - crazy drawing range without a fog for the entire map of San Andres (now the world from above looks like a miniature from a museum), destroyed sense of distance - the port from mobile phones and bugs from there also - menu sounds replaced everywhere with sounds from San Andreas, lazy and lack of attention to detail - there is a dark glow    Why I dislike:

    Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
