I’ve been waiting for so long, I truly believed in the project, I believed the company, they...... they just betrayed my expectations in retaliation for my kiddish desire to play .     Regardless of the hype, this is simply put a terrible game. Looks awful (ps4 pro), gun-play is bad, writing + dialogue a waste of time, nothing interesting to do in the world, etc. I’m 10 hours in, and have yet to do anything fun/enjoyable/interesting. I can’t stress enough how much “dialogue” is a waste of time. Characters talk about...nothing, and you can choose between various versionsRegardless of the hype, this is simply put a terrible game.     Игра которая изначально поставила супер Мега планку ожидания ее не оправдала никак , все начинается с редактора персонажа , там персонаж смотрится как то иначе , создав клевого персонажа в игре он уже не нравится , да и в целом в мире его уже никак не изменить , сюжет последствия ?     This game is a masterpiece. There are bugs but they are nothing compared to amount of content this game offers. Eventually bugs will be fixed with patches. Most of the negative reviews comes from past gen consoles. To be honest I think they should not receive the game but thankfully there was no Ubisoft downgrade so it could run on consoles.     Game is undercooked, in a year it could be easly 9-10/10 game but for now there is a lot of silly visual bugs and sometimes game needs reload because some scripts aren't firing.

I mean it's unending diarrhea of "conversation" that we supposed to care from first seconds... no, you can't skip the conversation, you'll press the skip button for the text displayed right now on the screen, which seem to work similar to microsoft text to speechFortunately I didn't get to the part with bugs, unfortunately I was bored in less than 30 minutes with opening "conversations". All this without mention the gigantic amount of bugs, I'm shocked they've put out a game like this. IT'S CRAZY see so many 10 rate, 10 is perfection, how can you rate an incomplete game 10?!     Cyberpunk 2077 is a very unique RPG. After putting 40+ hours into the main story and open world I gotta say 8/10. Putting the bugs and problems aside the game isn't bad at all, the character customisation could be more in depth but I still found it very interesting and funny ;). The main story-line honestly confused me in the start and I hated it but after sticking to it I started toCyberpunk 2077 is a very unique RPG.     Bugs bugs, people only look at bugs, look at story what game is trying to tell, game is really great and extensive, review bombing is not a thing people should do right after game release. Yes i will agree, it is CDP fault for delivering buggy product, but also do you have game available before Christmas? Yes you have. Would you like to have it in 6 months but with most bugs fixed? No

    I played 20 hours now, did a lot of side and main stuff. PC - only 1070 and i7 8700K 3,7GHz - I can play medium to high without bigger issues in performance.
    The world itself is awesome and really immersive - as long as it doesnt break. So many scenes and situations were destroyed because of random bugs and **** breaking/not working as designed. It went from "haha thats a funny bug" to    I played 20 hours now, did a lot of side and main stuff.     Gameplay itself ist simply ok, nothing special. Guns are ok - melee is on the level of RPGs I played 20 years ago. Focussed on Katana and Mantis Blades on the first playthrough, literally just mashing that left mouse button and running around the enemies. That is on very hard btw. Balancing is an absolute joke.

    I like the skill system, many cool things here, lot of possibilities but also nothing ground breaking at all.

    It is definitely not the "next big thing" - its not even the Game of the Year and for me, not even the RPG of the year. Yakuza LAD, FF VII Remake, P5 Royal, even (patched) Wasteland 3 just feel better.

    Exploring the world is a lot of fun, I do enjoy playing the game, but its a solid 7/10 for me.    … Expand

    Just awesome. Great deep dive into atmosphere, beautiful music, excellent plot.

    P.S. almost no bugs, mostly rare glitches with models and textures.

    As a developer with 12 years of experience, cyberpunk reminds me why I decided to go in my way instead of working for those big companies, the history is good and the graphics are spectacular, but is clearly an unfinished product, the main scenes that are intended to evoke emotions in the user are loosing all the charm because you will see them with bugs, from floating objects,As a developer with 12 years of experience, cyberpunk reminds me why I decided to go in my way instead of working for those big companies, the history is good and the graphics are spectacular, but is clearly an unfinished product, the main scenes that are intended to evoke emotions in the user are loosing all the charm because you will see them with bugs, from floating objects, intersecting characters, to trees LODs drawing on top of everything, currently the only way to more and less make it playable is if you have mininum a RTX 2080 and you will run it at 1080p, which obviously is not for everybody, the new generation lacks of performance enough to make the game an enjoyable experience.

    Lastly it is fair to mention that I have no doubt they will fix all those errors, but the modern tendency to fix games along the way does not allow me to have a good impression neither score for this game. The QA is a must in a game, it is not optional, I can't really imagine the hell the devs are living right now to fix the game, probably some working from 80 to 90 hrs.    … Expand

    Had Less bugs than metacrit.


    The game can run without problems. Was released in many languages.

    Another companies need to learn how to do it.

It's not really ready unless you ignore everything outside the main story".

    Is the game a 0-4? No. Is it a 10, absolutely not. It sits at about a 6-7, in its current form and may touch on a 9 in a few months if/when they get everything working.

    As it stands right now, saving bystanders from thugs is a confusing matter as they just continue cowering in place after you wipe them, car driving handles like you're at the wheel of a stick of butter in a hot frying pan(All cars seem to handle the same with slight variations in speed), V just seems to get stuck on the geometry as you walk around (debris, desks, doors walls), NPCs on the street seem to have the most basic AI that completely ruins any shred of immersion of being in a tough, unforgiving megacity. You bump into someone and they give you this thousand yard stare while they continue walking away. This is just a tiny slice of what's wrong with it.

    I kind of expected this. I am taking a break now that I've hit act 2 and will come back to it in a few weeks after more patching.

    Gave it an 8 to offset the buttmad 1s.    … Expand

    playing on pc sinked 30h+ , no real problems so far , some animation hic ups here and there , but nothing game breaking. Theres a lot room for improvement on the AI compartment of the game.
    Writing Directing RPG Music Acting, are top notch. Gameplay can be improved. overall its a good game for pc but with room for improvement.

    Great story, world etc. But how on earth you made me, with your whole marketing and not telling truth about ps4 version, to buy it. I don't buy the excuse tht I should now that it will be so bad on an old console. Its a shame how this works and looks on PS4.

Cyberpunk gives players a lot of options for how they want to play so the first few hours can be daunting as you learn the interface and figure out your preferred strategy and style, but once you get past that the game has an absolutely incredible depth of story. You can run through the main story in 20-30 hours, but you will get a LOT more out of the game if you engage in the side missions, which often impact the main missions and add richness to the story.

    Combat is decent, not fluid like a FPS but with an absolute ton of options. Want to play as a goon who pulverizes opponents with her bare fists? You can do that. As a futuristic techno-sniper? Yup, you can do that.to. You can play as a tank, a ninja, a netrunner, a terminator, an explosives expert, or even my personal choice as a pacifist who blends elements of other styles. The styles and specializations are endless, and many of them generate unique content which encourages you to play the game multiple times to see it all.

    Another thing that has to be mentioned is the vibrancy of Night City. I have never seen a game with so much going on. The city is packed with people just living their lives. They go to work, hang out with their friends, head out to the clubs. Just living their lives, and so many of them have little storylines going on that you can eavesdrop on by listening to their conversations. Just walking around and people watching is practically a mini-game. It all adds to that immersive feeling that you are living in a real city.

    There are some bugs, but I wouldn't let that stop you from playing. Most are visual and the majority I encountered were fixed in the first few days with patches. I haven't crashed at all and only had one broken side mission bug which was fixed as well. My opinion is that the bugs are a consequence of how ambitious the game is; trying to create a AAA title this massive and complex means you could either decide to accept that you will have to release the game with some rough edges or scale back the game to the point where polishing is a more manageable task given the release time restrictions. Personally, I'd rather have the rough edges that gradually get fixed than lose that ambitious depth, but YMMV.

    The bottom line for me is that this is an RPG game, which means it's about the story and being able to mold that story with my choices, which the game succeeds at perfectly. The bugs are unfortunate, but I think that the story and depth of play more than compensate for some temporary annoyances. Just follow the mantra of "save now, save often" and the impact until they're fixed should be minimized. That way you can focus on the story and gameplay, which are awesome.    … Expand

    Я провел в игре почти 30 часов, и до сих пор повидал лишь небольшую часть игры. Контента огромное количество и насыщенность мира просто потрясает.     my pc ran it great, i just really dont see whats so special about it, doesnt feel groundbreaking, dont care about tthe characters, storylin is boring, lore is lame, its all meh just something for the fanbois to get wet dreams too
    10/10 would rather convertate with an oblivion npc

    Game has it's flaws when it comes to bugs, but we should trust CDP Red enough after everything they did, that it will be fixed in time. Don't cry and tank the game, because its the biggest most ambitious project ever, and it's glorious, graphics are incredible, immersion is on another level, design, lvl of details, dialogues. 10/10 Ladies and gentlemen!

    For me its the best Game of the decade. Yeah its a little buggy but i had no major bugs or glitches.
    The story and the world is **** awesome. The charakters are fleshed out and the interactions can be quite heartwarming.
    In the first two days i put 26 hours in and i dont think that i will stop playing it for years.
    It is as good if not even better than Witcher 3.

    Life is night city vibrant, rich and thrilling and you can always move the badlands in case you're looking for a break. The game's combat system, mechanics and the art of story telling is just exactly where you'd from CDPR. There's a lot of detail to every character and a lot you can explore within each character of the game. There's a lot of detail to every character and a lot you can explore within each character of the game. While main storyline is short, the rich side quests and gigs make up very well for it. The bugs really ruined the game for me in the first played but after 1.0.4 patch, things got a lot better. Really wishes bugs would be there as less as possible.     To be honest, because of the optimalization and a lot of bugs its 8/10. But you know, CDP need some time to fix it. Future patches will help a lot, DLCs will arrive and multiplayer in few year. I am sure it will be 10/10 without a doubt.

    The game is absolutelly fabulous. Still some bugs, but hey man - enter the night city and you will be amazed. It's such a complex creation that no wonder there might be some small issues. CD Project created the world that will last for years. Highly recommended - best Christmas gift in 2020.

    There's fun to be had in this world but it's a buggy mess and the city feels scripted and lifeless, shooting is fun but the game is way over hyped. No emergent gameplay, watch dogs legion is a better open world game minus the rpg mechanics.
    Just an OK average game at present. Wait until its fixed and get it on sale.

    It is good at giving player atmosphere, with music, flashing lights, and all. You simply need to stay on the quest railroad and it will be fine.

    And yet, Cyberpunk 2077 feels like a mix of witcher 3 and DAO origins, and in a bad way. It took the idea of prologue and backgrounds from the Origins but failed to understand the meaning of it (spoiler: choices). From Witcher it took the time-limited dialogue options, "the ending will be decided by one choice in one quest" and railroading.

    Basically, it is not an RPG. It is a game that is trying very hard to pretend (not to be) one. It gives you flashy upgrades, customization, backgrounds, but utterly fails to deliver any development on them - there is no use of customization, the background will only unlock a few meaningless dialogue options with no consequences attached, and the upgrades are simply percents of extra damage - no new actions or abilities. Looking at you, Aard from Witcher.

    It should have been a corridor shooter - damn, the game is on its best when it ignores the open-world completely and just teleport you from one mission point to another - and stop pretending to be an RPG. There is no roleplay involved. It is basically a movie with the opportunity to shoot at bad guys, but without any influence on characters by the player. You can only choose the ending from 4 pre-made by the developer. You are an observer, not an actor.

    It is Mass Effect 3 level of "your choices during the game do not matter, lol".

    I will give it 7/10, because the core of the game is well done. They simply should have dropped the open world and put it into a small, local railroaded corridor shooter with a lot of choices. As it is, it is half-baked at best.    … Expand

    I didn't pay for this game and I still feel ripped off. 7 years of development for an inferior GTA. Game is a buggy mess. Cops literally spawn from thin air and multiply rapidly. Driving in this game is trash. The NPC AI is complete garbage especially when they are driving.

    Disappointment of the decade. The developers consciously made the decision to lie to their players by withholding information about how terrible the game would run on consoles. The game is overall unfinished and rather boring, relying far too much on the shock value of sex and bad words to entertain the player, which gets boring very quickly. Overall, absolutely terrible.

    You don't need to be a professional reviewer to make it to this conclusion. First, let's talk about optimization : it's bad : powerful GC can't keep up with this game in 1080p medium settings (for example 1080Ti or 2070). Even in ultra, we can note bad points : textures are all noisy, shadows and lighting are badly handled, creating flickers and weird shadows constantly changing around NPCs.
    Secondly, and for me the worst part of the game : it's AI. Oh boy, it's catastrophic. The game offers interesting inflitration and hacking methods that are constantly ruined by the AI, as they are so dumb. And it isn't only the enemies, your partners are making your life painfull too. Besides the sad story around it, i'm so glad (SPOILER) that Jackie died, as I hated being around him : he's constantly making sprints around the area when you try to be silent, he just YELLS 2 meters from an enemy you are facing silently, and isn't helping you, you have to make all kills in inflitration. It's better just being brutal, as he at least knows how to shoot, and you're not paying much attention in the AI dumbness in the chaos of a brutal fight, excepted in points of story where you are helped by NPCs that just stands up and wait to be shooted at. Let's also talk about the T-poses, the weird face and body glitches, and lots of glitchs when releasing corpses, as they fly to the other side of the map for no reason, as they were sent with a canon.
    Story's good, but ruined by a non-immersive world. As I spoke earlier, AI is ruining this immersion, but also how quests are handled : you can make so much choices but you feel you're the only one making them, and your crime partners don't seem to care or ask you questions, as it was showcased on E3 gameplays and trailers, for the exact same missions. So you don't always feel the imapct of your choices or which one are good for your side or not. It's kind of random to choose a approach a mission, as you reall don't know what it's gonna change, no one told you.
    And the driving... it's heavy, not practical, and you just bump everything in you way. Also, NPC drivers don't pay attention if you just blow their car or transport them over a kilometer on your top, they just serve a generic catchphrase such as "don't disturb me !". To resume, you don't feel any impact your behavior as on the city. No one cares, excepted for the cops that pops randomly 2 meters from you for generally no reason, really. The game explains it as a city used to crime, but it's no excuse to make people so lifeless and generic, please !
    I'll add little details, like the impossibility of changing the Interact key from F, no Walk key, the game stopping you from leaving Watson district at the beginning by creating an invisible wall on roads... All of this tends to say that this doesn't seem like a 7 years-old developed game.
    Despites all that, the game have potential. Gameplay's not perfect, enemies are bullet bags, but shooting is pretty cool. Hacking and infiltration could be great with fixed AI, and the city would be much more immersive if people weren't so "dumb".
    I would recommend waiting before buying the game, as you'll just be frustrated by the game by playing it right now.    … Expand

    On pc its a great experience.

    Content wise it more than delivers, great side missions/quests and a lot of other smaller quests as well that are similar to witcher 3's activities.

    Once all the bugs are patched out and content adding dlc start rolling in im sure it will be much more enjoyable. (they should just add gwent to the game)

    I wish i was as excited to play the game now as i was before cyberpunk came out, but now that it has and I've played some of it, its horrible.... its a buggy, broken, boring mess and now i hate it, cdpr have a long, long way to go to make this even work properly never mind fun. 8 years for this game and it feels almost as bad as watch dogs legion.

    It is apparent that they were very ambitious and delved into many many features/ideas but did not fully polish them all, but I would argue they were mostly done to a satisfactory standard.

    So many people complain about bugs such as T poses and unlootable items. Sure they exist, but it doesn't break the game, a little annoying sure. That's why I gave it a 9/10 instead of 10/10. If these small bugs are enough to take away everything else from you, then I can only say that you are deluding yourself if you expect a 100% bug free game.

    As for the people experiencing performance issues. If you are on a console, you should already understand your hardware is substandard to the current generation of PCs. If I was in your position, I would not be expecting much out of any prev-gen consoles (or even an old pre-made PC). This is not about the PC master race, it's just a matter of fact that you play a console, a mass marketed device that is focused on raking profits for the companies instead of being built to last. It is simply unreasonable to expect CDPR to cater for you in this case. If you are using a current gen console, my condolences to you, but you just need to be patient.

I'm almost at 30hrs and haven't come across super aggressive bugs, I have been doing lots of side quests and whatnot so this may be the reason why. I'm having a blast, giving 8 because I know there are lots of bugs even if Iit seems that that the game was not meant for base consoles. I'm playing on a cheap pc with low/med settings. I knew my ps4 would not have been enough for this game. I'm almost at 30hrs and haven't come across super aggressive bugs, I have been doing lots of side quests and whatnot so this may be the reason why. I have PC with specs somewhere between minimum and closer to recommended settings. I didn't expect high settings, but even on the lowest settings, game often dips under 25 FPS.
    Bugs are frequent. Most of them only immersion breaking (textures not loading, clipping, NPC talking over each other,...), but I experienced some that forced me to restart the game (unable to pick up items, npc not reacting,... ) and of course game crashes. It was very deceptive to show the game only on the best hardware and only on PCs where they knew game will run great.

    Night city was promised to be "the most believable city in an open world game to date". So that was a f.cking lie. People in the city are absolutely soulless. They cant be interacted with, only respond by running away a little bit and then just standing still or simply all crouching down simultaneously. They talk to you with their one line of dialogue and that's it. "Random events" are very underwhelming. For example scavengers bullying homeless man is just few people standing around crouched homeless man, not doing anything and if you kill them the saved man doesn't move at all.
    Police AI is laughably bad. If you kill anyone the just spawn nearby and more you kill the more they spawn. Wanted stars don't mean anything expect for number of spawned cops. If you run away even a little bit, they won't bother chasing you.
    Driving AI is same story. Like I said cops just spawn behind you, they don't drive cars. There is small number of predetermined paths that NPC cars follow and that's it. If you block a road, they wont deviate even a little bit to continue their path. Driving within a mission is better, but only because missions can be defined more precisely.

    Shooting is ok, nothing groundbreaking. Inventory management and equipment could use and overhaul, especially when you're forced to choose between good stats of the thousands of items you pick up and roleplay of what your V would wear and wield.
    interactivity in open world is sorely missing (transmog, game machines, shops, garage, apartment and body customization, barbershops, tattoo artists, interactions with objects,...). A lot of these features are found in RPG games more than decade old. It doesn't have to be all of them but even some would bring life to this visually beautiful yet empty city.

    I didn't beat the game yet, only about 8 missions so I won't touch on story too much. The cyberpunk aspect of game touches only the surface of cyberpunk genre. From what I seen and heard from people who beat the story the game doesn't explore the themes and goals of cyberpunk too much. Dystopian shooter with androids is not necessarily cyberpunk. I may be wrong (it doesn't affect my score too much) and might change this after I beat the game. It's distressing that there is a generation of people for whom this will their introduction to cyberpunk genre. This should have been revival of cyberpunk and instead we got lukewarm corporate friendly "cyberpunk".

    Musical and art direction is beautiful. It's the only redeeming factor really. People working on this side of the game deserve all the credit they can.

    I might revisit the game after some time, when things are fixed and with better hardware and then revise my score. But now, the game is only playable on PC with the best hardware and even there it doesn't deliver the experience promised.
    Let this serve as a yet another reminder for Gamers™ to not trust corporations. Who am I kidding, they don't care. Flashy game with sexy androids is cyberpunk enough for them.    … Expand

    Люди стали забывать, что когда-то было достаточно хорошего сторилайна, и новых механик чтобы игра была шедевром, все играли на 20-30 фпс и этого было достаточно. Сейчас конечно же всё поменялось, все хотят конфетку по всех планах, и конечно же бесплатно.

    Проблема игры в ее агрессивной рекламе и завышенных ожиданиях. В целом проект интересный, а баг поправят

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
