Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle is a decent adventure game that I do recommend, even though the control system on the DS leaves a lot to be desired; there is room for improvement and I'm hopeful that the developer will take this on board for future releases.

Cyanide Studio has done certainly delivered quite an impressive PC-to-DS port, managing to keep all of the video sequences intact and amending the control set-up to better suit the touch-screen input of Nintendo's portable.
  3. Despite its problems, Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle is still playable on the DS, and fans of the genre looking for some portable point-and-clicking will find themselves with a game to really get stuck into. You’re going to have to forgive a lot of minor annoyances, though.
  4. Runaway offers a testing environment to frustrate your grey matter.

This one is let down slightly by a poor conversion from the PC original. [Feb 2008, p.71]
  6. Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle's woeful mechanics and clunky puzzle solving turn a promising adventure into a bit of a nightmare.
