Don't get me wrong, I'm all for open level design that gives the gamer choices. But in this game everything is a gamble and there appears to be little if any logic behind it.

At times you think it's just wonderful and I can see why many people like it. But then again, Justin Beiber sells a lot of albums.

Worth a look but nowhere near as good as many would have you believe.

I enjoyed the temples to a certain extent, they were fun to solve but some could get frustrating with backtracking. But they always manage to make you feel satisfied while you're making progress

The game was fun in parts but overall frustrating and just not that interesting.

    Pros:
    +Graphics are nice.
+Soundtrack and sound in general is amazing.
    +Motion controls!
    +3D is good.

    Cons:
    -Clunky controls.
    -Boring as hell.
    -Dull combat.

Ocarina of Time is really not bad, don't get me wrong, but only if you really like Zelda, which i do not. I find other Zelda games much, much better. Instead of buying this, get ALBW.

This game's okay as Zelda games go. I wasn't hit by the hype train like everyone else and played this when it came out, so I'm not as biased, but I can't be the only one who thinks this game's not all it's cracked up to be. Yes, it's enjoyable and innovative for its time, but compared to later games and even earlier ones, it doesn't provide much that the other games already don't.

It might just be me complaining about it being repeatedly called "teh best zelda game evurr", but I really don't get the deal. It's just a good game and it's a good Zelda game. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ocarina of Time is a solid game, and this this is a good remake of it. Higher resolution everything, nice controls, master quest included. A person could hardly ask for more. The 3D stuff even looks pretty good most of the time, if you care about that. I think my favorite part of the remake is that first-person aiming has (optional) motion controls, which makes things way cool.

I loved the game when it came out on the Game Cube. But even with it being remade perfectly for the 3DS I just couldn't get into this type of game on such a small screen.

OoT is an amazing game. It still is. However, having played it so many times on the N64 I can't even remember, I have a few tiffs with this version. I assume it's for the short attention spans of the newer gamers. It ruins the feel of the game though and sometimes the cut scenes are too short to even read what's being said. It takes a short time to get up to Gannondorf (there used to be a long winding staircase which took all about forever to climb) and the organ music also stays the same volume as you get closer to him (which was one of the coolest parts of the game in my opinion). They fixed the timing on the switch you push to get the hammer, which was nice but far too easy. I went in expecting there to be a few things that I still couldn't get right on the first try and I was wrong. Anyways, I would recommend the N64 or game-cube version of the game before playing this one. Yes it's pretty, but I think it should have been more difficult. Expand

The game got better once Link grew up, but there were numerous frustrations along the way that clearly showed that this game is nowhere near "best game ever" material. I can't list all flaws, let's just mention lack of jump button, Navi's worthless "hints", the Dark Link battle which, instead of being super epic, was a button mash fest, the game's hard-on for gimmick battles, even in the LAST boss fight. Story was expectedly a total joke. Music was alright, so were visuals. It wasn't all bad. I liked the level design, puzzles and weapon diversity. But let's be honest here: it's a good game, but nowhere even remotely close to the best games in history. Expand

Ocarina of Time is a great game. And now that it has been taken over to the 3DS, it is even better! Does this game live up to it's unforgiving hype? Let's find out.

Ocarina of Time is a great game. And now that it has been taken over to the 3DS, it is even better! Does this game live up to it's unforgiving hype? Let's find out.

    A:Music/Sounds

The Legend of Zelda series has always been well known for their music, but this game's music never really... stood out to me. There was only one soundtrack that really caught my attention (Gerudo Valley) but all the other music could probably be replaced with music from different games and I wouldn't be able to tell. This is based on taste, but that is just my experience. The sounds are good as well, but again, not the best in the franchise.

    6/10

    B: Graphics

Oh my god, you have no idea how great the graphics in this game is. The amount of detail that has been put into EVERYTHING is outstanding (The floor in the Temple of Time is reflective!) Did you even realise the huge graphical difference between the N64 and 3DS versions? It is HUGE! I had no idea that graphics could get that good? Have you seen how small the 3DS is? How could such amazing graphics fit on the tiny thing? The world shall never know, I guess...

10/10 WITH my Thumbs Up of Approval

    C: Gameplay

This game's gameplay never really stood out to me. I know that this game was what really defined all of the future LoZ games to come, but all the other ones improved on it. This one... it sort of stayed with the same old same old N64 gameplay mechanics.

4/10 (Could have been improved since the N64 version)

    D: Story

Last but not least, the story. Not much to tell, really. Ganondorf is evil, Link stops him. This is probably just a 3D variation of the original LoZ, but they really could have improved it a bit. Maybe I'm missing something here that I forgot, but this is just me.

    3/10 (Same old story)

Overall, the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a great game and is really worth getting. An amazing game for the 3DS, but that's about it. If you put it on the consoles, no one would really care. (I mean, they would, but it wouldn't have seemed as outstanding as it being on the 3DS) So overall, I give the Ocarina of Time 3D a...

7/10 (Worth getting for the 3DS, not worth getting the 3DS for)

Having never played the N64 original, I just found the game OK overall and did not understand the acclaim behind the game playing it fresh in 2015. I was constantly wishing i was playing this game as a remaster on a console rather than a handheld.

For me personally, the game felt unfair and too cryptic (what others might like about it). I do not mind being given a general direction and then to work something out. However, this game gives at times no direction of where to go or what to do to get there. Some like this, I do not. Running around the world, attempting to get clues on where to go and how to actually get there seems quite frustrating. A lot of the time obsticles are trial and error and it ruined the immersion for me, as I constinantly arrived at hiccups. I understand the game uses abstract reasoning & I could be very well weak at that. But, I had no motivation to play the game, so I didn't feel the want to invest in the puzzles and I found myself caring less about Link in his attempt to save Hyrule. Expand

OK, so i am playing this game in 2019 after playing breath of the wild and i will admit that this game does not deserve the attention it gets. I never played the original on the n64 so i cant relate to that. THE GRAPHICS ARE AWFUL FOR A 3DS. Even games like tomodachi life have better graphics. I find the controls wak and the story to be OK but not enough to give this game more than 5 sorry

Even by today's standards the overall atmosphere of the game is outstanding all of this is making zelda OOT really timeless and nostalgic. But unfortunately under all of those great things there is a huge amount of irritating and frustrating aspects. The Controls are absolutely terrible. I seriously thought that this game will make a good use of a new 3DS C-stick but unfortunately I was wrong. Lack of second thumbstick is just very wrong in 3D game these days. It's really frustrating when you're trying to Center the camera for jump or hit but then the camera decides to Center it for you because why not. Ufortunately a major portion of the game is so unintuitive... a lot of times seriously I had big problems to figure it out what I'm supposed to do at the moment. In lot of situations I ended up wondering in location for about an hour or two just to see the guide on the internet, that shows me that there is some kind of a hidden wall that I'm supposed to blow up with a bomb... Without the guide it's seriously very, very frustrating, unintuitive and just simply bad deigned game. Another strange thing is when you die or load a save you are teleported to a beginning of dungeon or location and that just forces you to reply whole location once more. Despite very good impressions after last boss fight I just simply can't ignore lot of wasting hours trying to find a way. And I can't forget the strong feelings of irritation and frustration. It's really not fun to play a game with guide all the time simply because you can't understand the dungeon design of creators. I highly recommend to watch some walk through or story explaining videos on YT but if you want to beat this game "on your own", a hugely recommend YT channel "ZeldaMaster" he will provide you with excellent tips and dungeon strategies.

The quintessential Zelda game and the best Zelda remake (tied with MM) in my opinion. Although I do think it's overrated, it's certainly still good. Most of the temples are fun and interesting and the side quests are okay, but the game is a little bare because it's an older, less in-depth game compared to what the standard is nowadays

It's charming but feels like it's missing something.
