Despite some problems with its camera and controls, this game is an interesting and enjoyable puzzle experiment that results in a good portable experience for 3DS.

A few camera and sound issues aside, The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and His Square Mind is a pretty enjoyable puzzle platforming romp.

Fantastic level design, smart puzzles and a funny story that collides with their platform moments, a bad camera and imprecise jumps.

This is a competent puzzle game that gets the job done, with an original and interesting presentation and personality. Nonetheless, at the end of the day, The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind is just a nice anecdote in the vast 3DS indie library.

The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind is a solid puzzle game at its heart and one which I do recommend that people look into picking up if you’re looking for a new puzzle experience. It’ll have you working your mind multiple times throughout the course of the game as you attempt to progress the levels, however for me it is just a little slow to thoroughly grab me.

The puzzle element is more tedious than mentally stimulating, and the platforming ranges from average to horrendous.

The game lacks originality and suffers from a lack of narrative, and those two factors aren't enough to make up for the decent puzzles.
